Winter Cowboy Coaster
What provides the family with a thrill and screams of delight? How about nearly a mile of loops, curves and hairpin turns. The Cowboy Coaster takes riders 456 feet up Snow King Mountain, and then lets you loose down twists and turns.
King Tubes
Lots of laughter and a fun day await your family at King Tubes. Bundle up for snow tubing fun. These groomed hills make for a fast (but safe) ride. Don’t worry about having to climb back up the hill. King Tubes has a rope pull that will get you back up to the top. Measure up your kids...42” is the minimum height for riding the tubes.
Ice Skating
Where there’s cold, there’s ice and Jackson Hole has both indoor and outdoor skate rinks.
Usually open mid December through March, strap on those ice skates and enjoy gliding around the rink in Jackson Hole Town Square. There’s also Village Rink on the Commons in Teton Village or go indoors at Snow King Sports and Event Center.
Mill Iron Ranch Sleigh Ride
The kids will have stories to tell back home when they hang out with real cowboys, ride a sleigh with a beautiful team of horses and see a herd of over 1,000 elk! Located just 10.5 miles south of Jackson, Mill Iron Ranch is worth the short drive. Don’t miss making this a part of your vacation. Reservations are required so visit their website.
Scenic Safaris - Snowmobile or Snowcoach
Guided snowmobile tours, snowcoach or van tours will make your family vacation memorable. Scenic Safaris offers half and full-day snowmobile tours and children 6 and up can accompany parents. Yellowstone Snowcoach Tour takes you to see Old Faithful and makes other stops. Bring your camera as you may see some wildlife along the way.
