Are Grand Teton & Yellowstone National Parks Open?
Yes! Both Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park are currently open. Many attractions including Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Spring, Fountain Paint Pots & more are all available for viewing as well as such activities including fishing and hiking. Many services are also open, with restaurants offering take-away food options and public restrooms are available for use. Physical distancing is still in effect and facial coverings are to be worn in high visitation areas. For the most up to date information, check out:

What Activities Are Available This Summer?
Jackson Hole is an outdoor adventurer's paradise, and there are plenty of ways to enjoy summer in our lush valley. Below are a few examples of things you can do this summer while social distancing, but you can view a comprehensive and complete list of up to date activiites and attractions that are open courtesy of the Jackson Hole Chamber.
Hiking, Biking, Sightseeing
One of the best ways to take advantage of our wide open spaces and fresh mountain air is to get outside and enjoy it! Hundreds of hiking trails abound throughout the valley and at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park.Prefer two wheels? We have miles upon miles of pathways that meander along the Teton Range and throughout the parks. Be sure to have your camera handy too, as you never know when you'll spot wildlife or that perfect sunset shot over the Tetons. These activities are some of the best you can do while still social distancing.
Covered Wagon Cookouts
A covered wagon cookout with Bar T 5 is one of the best, authentic western experiences that the whole family will enjoy. Board the horse-drawn wagon and transport yourself back to the true wild west as you listen as cowboys share stories and songs. Once you get to camp, you'll enjoy a traditional Dutch oven dinner along with a lively show performed by the cowboys.
Wildlife Sightseeing Tours
Book a wildlife tour and let trained guides track down the animals while you sit back and relax with your camera at the ready! Choose several different options or book a private tour for you and your loved ones. Wildlife tours across the valley are operating this summer, with special guidelines in place to minimize risk to guests.
Rafting & Floating Trips
Get out on the water with a whitewater rafting or leisurely float trip this summer. Whether you prefer the adrenaline of the rapids or the serenity of a float, you'll take in Jackson Hole’s incredible landscape and wildlife from a new perspective. This summer, rafting companies are operating with smaller groups and guests are asked to wear a mask in the transportation vans.
Rent a Kayak or SUP
Enjoy the myriad lakes and rivers around the valley on a kayak or stand up paddleboard. Rental shops are open for business and while there are some modifications to rental policies, you'll still be able to get out and enjoy the water this summer. Jenny Lake & String Lake are great options, as well as the larger Jackson Lake.
Is Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Open?
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is open for summer! Many attractions are open - including family fun such as the climbing wall and trampoline, adrenaline adventures like Via Ferrata and downhill biking, as well as hiking trails and more. The Bridger Gondola is operating to take guests up the mountain for hiking, biking, sightseeing & dining. Shops and restaurants are open for business. With guest's health in mind, special procedures are in place including mandatory face covering in buildings, facilities & lift lines.
