Even if you don’t ski or snowboard down a mountain, Jackson provides plenty of activities to enjoy the winter season. Here are a few wintertime things to do around Jackson Hole.
Snow Tubing and the Cowboy Coaster
Get ready for fast fun on Snow King Mountain. Grab your friends and jump on the Snow King Tubes or the Cowboy Coaster. Both provide lots of thrills and laughter! The Cowboy Coaster lets you control the brakes and your speed, but you can get up to 25mph on these super fast sledding slopes!
Sleigh Ride
Like a picturesque scene from a Christmas card, you can reserve your spot on a wintertime sleigh ride in Jackson Hole. Visit the National Elk Refuge and see large herds of elk that spend the winter there. Or check out the dinner sleigh rides at Mill Iron Ranch or Spring Creek Ranch.
Dog Sled Tour
Are you ready for a unique experience gliding over the snow? Then plan on taking a memorable trip on an Iditarod dog sled. Jackson Hole Iditarod Sled Dog Tours have over 170 dogs that love what they do and are ready to pull you across the snow. Chose a ½ day trip or the full day trip option takes you to Granite Hot Springs.
Snowmobile Tour
If you want to cover a lot of ground and see the backcountry, then check out the tour companies in and around Jackson that offer tours riding your own snowmobile. This gives you access to areas where wildlife are sure to be seen.
So let it snow! You’ll be enjoying yourself in Jackson’s winter wonderland.
