Jackson Hole Activities

There’s something special about spending the 4th of July in Jackson Hole!

You’ll find many activities, events, and celebrations throughout the day from 7:30am to the fireworks at 10:00pm. Here's our favorite upcoming Independence Day activities:

Lions Club Street Breakfast

Start your day off with pancakes, sausages, and scrambled eggs. Make your way to Deloney Street off of Town Square and just follow the tantalizing aroma. This is a favorite annual fundraiser for the Lions Club and it brings the locals and visitors together for breakfast from 7:30am-10:30am. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids; free for kids under age 4. There will also be music from the Jackson Hole Community Band.

Chamber of Commerce 4th of July Parade

Out West, we know how to do a 4th of July parade right. Enjoy music, clowns, classic cars and of course horses! The parade starts at 10:30am from the Teton County Fairgrounds, and travels down Snow King Avenue to Glenwood, turning on Broadway, and ending on Willow Street. Downtown is a great place to be for this event, but rumor has it that setting up in front of the Center for the Arts on Glenwood provides a great viewing spot as well.

Town Square Shootout

Don’t miss a classic scene of the wild west happening right in the heart of Jackson. Best described as a “lively reenactment of frontier justice”, the Jackson Hole Shootout has been a Wyoming tradition since 1957. Be at Town Square at 6:00pm and enjoy the show!

Jackson Hole Rodeo

Get your tickets now for the July 4 Jackson Hole Rodeo, held at the Teton County Fairgrounds. The Rodeo has been a part of Jackson Hole’s cowboy culture since the first settlers arrived over 100 years ago and today’s cowboys and cowgirls are some of the best! The July 4th week is a great time to attend as there will be a Rodeo each night at 8:00pm July 3-6.

4th of July Fireworks

It’s time for the best fireworks around! Starting at 10:00pm, enjoy fireworks shows at two locations: the base of Snow King Mountain in the town of Jackson and at the base of the Tetons in Teton Village at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. For an extra celebration, be sure to arrive a day early on July 3 for fireworks in the Village.

With July 4 being on Thursday this year, why not make reservations for the entire weekend! We know plenty of great ways to enjoy Jackson Hole while you’re here. Happy 4th of July!
